Job Description

We are looking for a supervisor to oversee our accounting and tax department and can lead the team of accountants and tax consultants on day-to-day jobs with minimum guidance from management. Ideal candidate must be ACCA qualified with at least 4 years of experience in audit, tax and accounting firm. Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within a practice firm.

You will work closely with a team of outsourced accountants and tax consultants to manage financial functions as well as communicate with clients on daily basis. Our ideal candidate must have strong analytical and communication skills to lead and communicate with team and clients. To succeed in this role, you should also have a problem-solving attitude and be able to manage a team.

Responsibilities:

Supervise and manage the daily operations of the accounting and tax department. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations. Review tax returns, including VAT, corporate tax, payroll taxes, and other statutory filings. Oversee the preparation of financial statements and management reports of clients and ensure the team is meeting their deadlines. Monitor changes in accounting standards and tax laws and ensure these are implemented. Conduct tax planning and provide recommendations to minimize tax liabilities. Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors and tax authorities. Mentor and train junior accounting staff to ensure adherence to best practices. Supervise the team to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and ensure proper documentation. Mentor and train junior staff to ensure adherence to best practices.

Requirements:

Must have 4-5 years of experience in audit and/or tax from a Tax / Audit firm. Proven work experience at senior level in accounting firm with experience of client servicing. Strong understanding of UAE Tax Laws, accounting standards and practical experience of UAE VAT, audit and outsourced accounting services. Strong interpersonal skills, critical thinking skills, and time management skills. Proficient verbal and written communication skills. Comfortability working in a collaborative environment. Keen to learn automation and software. Accuracy and attention to detail with time management. Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills. Strong Communication and Problem Analysis and Problem-Solving Skills. Strong leadership and team management abilities.

Pay: AED6,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
