Duplays was founded in 2007, to bring strangers together through the spirit of competition, by organizing sports leagues and teams for a myriad of recreational activities aiming to increase public health and shatter segregation through sport. Today, we embark on not just organizing high-quality sport experiences but building best-in-class multisport facilities across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
We’re joining Sports for All (SFA) on an exciting and groundbreaking mission, to increase the public's participation in recreational activities. Our facilities, at 7,000 sq. meters plus, will be home to various sports, offering a temperature controlled, open space for individual customers, academies and federations to play the games they love.
As a result, we’re recruiting for an Accountant with experience in the service sector who prides himself/herself on attention to detail and “getting the job” done. The candidate will be expected to develop our finance and accountancy function, including implementing best practices and adopting the latest accountancy software to make us more efficient.
This candidate is a highly organized, detail-oriented individual who requires minimal guidance to operate. Able to work with a flexible schedule, this candidate will have an entrepreneurial drive and the focus to develop our business operations with support from our Dubai head office.

Duplays was founded on a simple observation. People move to a new city and find it difficult to connect with others to play the sports they left behind but still love to play. We wanted to change that, so we started Duplays (yes a play on words for “Dubai plays”), as an online platform that would connect sports enthusiasts with sport leagues that we’d organize across the Emirate. We found the venues, hired the referees, and created teams and schedules. We did this at scale, across Dubai and Abu Dhabi, each night, every night to become the UAE’s largest provider of adult, participatory sport. Our mission today is no different. We want to be the sport venues of choice for people to play sports. Today, we embark on not just organizing high-quality sport experiences but building best-in-class sport facilities at scale across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the UAE, starting with our two facilities in Dammam and Jeddah launching in 2022.

In this role you will:
- Handle full spectrum of financial accounting role eg. A/R, A/P, G/L, forecasting, budgeting etc. till finalization.
- Perform cost forecasts/budgets, cost tracking, monitoring and controls.
- Responsible for timely monthly consolidated financial statements, cash-flow management reporting.
- Perform cash flow forecasting, budgeting and working closely with the operations and project teams in analyzing margins, variances and cost analysis.
- Issue project cost reports for review and approval.
- Develop and maintain internal control and effective accounting system and policies.
- Work consultatively with the respective departments on cost reduction initiatives.
- Liaise with Auditors/Banks/Government establishments etc.
- Communicate with clients on any financial matters related to their agreements and bookings.
- Assist clients with any queries related to payments or their financial history.
- Explore and find innovative tools to optimize financial operations and performance.
- Monitor and follow up with clients for the scheduled regular payments.
- Follow up with customers on late and due payments in a timely and respectful manner, as per agreed process.
- Lead and support on company administrative tasks.

Knowledge and Experience Requirements:
- Degree in Accounting/Finance qualification.
- Relevant experience in financial and management accounting particularly in sports/services industries (2 years min experience in KSA in a similar role).
- Relevant experience in audit is advantageous.
- Excellent strategic planning skills and able to interact with all levels.
- Good MS Office skills particularly strong capabilities in MS Excel.
- Working experience in Xero/Peachtree/Sage is highly regarded.
- Knowledge about KSA VAT implementation.
