Job description:
Financial Recordkeeping:
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.
Recording financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
Ensuring all transactions are recorded in accordance with accounting principles and regulations.
Financial Reporting:
Assisting in the preparation of annual financial reports and audits.
Generating regular reports for management to support business decisions.
Preparing and presenting financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Account Reconciliation:
Ensuring that all accounts are accurate and up-to-date.
Identifying and resolving discrepancies in financial records.
Reconciling bank statements, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Assisting in the development and monitoring of budgets.
Analyzing financial performance against budget and forecasts.
Providing recommendations for cost control and financial improvements.
Compliance and Regulation:
Maintaining internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and tax laws.
Preparing and filing tax returns and other financial reports required by government agencies.
Financial Analysis:
Advising on financial implications of business decisions.
Conducting financial analysis to support strategic planning and decision-making.
Evaluating financial performance and providing insights into trends and variances.
Administrative Support:
Liaising with external auditors and other financial stakeholders.
Supporting the finance department with various administrative tasks.
Assisting with payroll processing and employee expense management.
