Job Description

The ideal candidate will have substantial exposure to handling accounting operations a monthly closing process, preparation of financial statements, and customer billing. He/She will be organized and approach each issue with an analytical mindset.

Responsibilities

Preparing accounts and tax returns

Monitoring spending and budgets

Compiling and presenting financial and budget reports.

Reconciliation of accounts payable and receivable.

Prepare and ensure that financial statements and records are accurate and comply with set international standards and abide by local regulations.

Keeping account books and systems up to date.

Ensure business transactions are reported under generally accepted accounting principles.

Handle and finalize monthly, quarterly, and yearly closings.

Liaise and provide external auditors with relevant financial information to correctly complete the external audit.

Research and analyze expense variances for company management.

Carrying out Bank Reconciliation as per cheques issued and payments made with the balance available in the respective account.

Responsible for vendor file maintenance & reconciliation of payments.

Review the monthly salary payroll in accordance with the payroll procedures and guidelines to ensure payments are made on time

Qualifications

2+ years of professional accounting experience within the UAE must be in Tax consultancy only

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience.

CA inter / ACCA or Finalist, CPA, or CMA is preferable.

Knowledge of the commodity market (specifically precious metals) and trading practices.

Knowledge of and experience with operating systems (e.g. Zoho, QuickBooks Telly ERP).

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong team player.

Computer Literate.

Fluency in English.
