Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction/contracting accounting, including project costing, vendor reconciliation, and handling progress payments. The role requires close coordination with the project and procurement teams to ensure accurate financial tracking of ongoing construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

-Maintain accurate books of accounts in compliance with accounting principles and company policies.

-Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.

-Oversee project accounting including cost control, job costing, and progress billing.

-Track and manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely invoicing and collection.

-Reconcile vendor and subcontractor accounts; verify LPOs, delivery notes, and invoices.

-Monitor and manage petty cash transactions and site

-related financial activities.-Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.

-Ensure compliance with VAT regulations and timely filing of tax returns.

-Handle bank reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger updates.

-Work closely with auditors during internal and external audits.

-Support management with financial insights and project profitability analysis.

Requirements:

-Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

-Proven accounting experience in a contracting or construction company.

-Strong understanding of project-based accounting and cost allocation.

-Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or ERP systems).

-Excellent knowledge of MS Excel and financial reporting.

-Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.-Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.-Good communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus.
