: Accountant - Clinic
Location: Dubai, UAE
Experience: Minimum 1 year of UAE experience in clinic or healthcare accounting is mandatory.

Job Purpose
To manage and oversee the daily accounting and financial operations of the clinic, ensuring accuracy, compliance with UAE VAT regulations, and the financial health of the practice. The role is crucial for maintaining accurate patient billing, managing insurance claims, and providing timely financial reports.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Recording & Bookkeeping:

• Manage all accounting transactions and ensure they are properly recorded in the clinic's accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or clinic-specific ERP).
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable, specifically related to medical suppliers, vendors, and patient invoices.
• Perform daily reconciliation of cash, card, and online payment receipts.
• Process and manage employee payroll, expenses, and petty cash.

Patient Billing & Insurance:

• Prepare and issue accurate invoices to patients for consultations, procedures, and treatments.
• Liaise with insurance companies for claims processing, pre-authorizations, and reconciliation of payments.
• Resolve any discrepancies related to insurance payments and patient billing inquiries.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of DHA (Dubai Health Authority) billing guidelines and insurance network regulations (e.g., Daman, AXA, Nextcare).

Accounts Payable & Vendor Management:

• Process invoices from suppliers, pharmaceutical companies, and medical equipment vendors.
• Ensure timely payments to vendors while managing cash flow effectively.

Compliance & Reporting:

• Ensure strict compliance with UAE VAT regulations; prepare and file timely VAT returns.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
• Prepare monthly financial reports for clinic management, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Support the annual audit process by providing necessary documentation and explanations.

Administrative Duties:

• Maintain an organized and secure filing system for all financial documents.
• Collaborate with the clinic manager and doctors to improve financial procedures and internal controls.

Qualifications & Skills
Mandatory Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of proven experience as an Accountant within a clinic, hospital, or healthcare facility in the UAE.
• In-depth, hands-on experience with medical billing and insurance claim processing in the Dubai market.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally ERP, QuickBooks) and MS Office (especially advanced Excel).
• Solid understanding of UAE VAT laws and their application in the healthcare sector.
• Experience with medical practice management software is a significant advantage.
