Key Responsibilities:
Financial Recordkeeping:
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Record all financial transactions in the company's accounting software.
Prepare Financial Statements:
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Analyze financial data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Reconcile Accounts:
Perform bank reconciliations and verify the accuracy of financial data.
Ensure that all discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including processing invoices, payments, and collections.
Monitor aging reports and follow up on overdue payments.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts for the business.
Track and analyze financial performance against budgets and advise on cost-saving opportunities.
Tax Preparation and Compliance:
Ensure tax filings are completed accurately and on time.
Assist with preparing documents for internal and external audits and tax filings.
Payroll Processing:
Support payroll processing, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time.
Assist with payroll tax compliance.
Support Financial Planning:
Provide insights into financial planning, profitability, and cost management.
Assist senior management in making informed financial decisions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent (or actively pursuing) is highly desirable
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and MS Excel.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations. (GAAP or IFRS)
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proven experience as an accountant or in a similar role.
Advanced MS Excel skills (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modelling)
Experience with ERP systems is MUST.
Fluency in both Arabic and English (written and spoken) is essential.
