The accountant is mainly responsible for the general accounting function including preparing journal entries (accounts receivables and payables), ledgers and bank reconciliations. He/ She processes financial records such as bills, invoices, accounts payable and more.
Responsibilities & Duties
Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
Compile and present reports, budgets, business plans, commentaries and financial statements.
Summarize current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
Prepare payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements.
Ensure social security and payroll income tax are duly recorded and paid to the competent authorities.
Keep VAT records properly maintained and presented to the fiscal authorities in a timely manner.
Supervises physical inventories at regular intervals at all stores/warehouses, note discrepancies and recommend adjustment entries.
Maintain a healthy relation with suppliers through timely payment of due invoices
Maintain customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Maintains a healthy cashflow throughout the organization.
Minimizes extensions in liability settlements with reference to the CEO decisions.
Maintains a healthy data entry (journals, ledgers, payables...) on the system and follows up on results, gaps, shortages and surpluses of any kind.
Follows up on receivables from aggregators and third parties which the organization deals with.

Requirements of the job
Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or any related field, Master's degree is a plus.
3 Years of Experience; preferably in the F & B industry
Excellent oral and written English Or Arabic, other language is a plus.
