Description

Job Purpose

Maintain and enhance TX network availability and performance Implement the network modifications and optimization requests in TX network Evaluate managed services to insure meeting the contracted KPIs/SLA

Report To Position Name

Fault & Performance management of transmission network:

Supervises the specification of the failure source of the transmission network & action/decision taken to achieve and maintain network availability KPIs.

Network modification, optimization and work orders implementation:

Ensuring prober implementation of assigned work orders as planned.

Managing Managed Services

Evaluation for managed services transmission staff

Following up on all assigned ongoing projects and CSR's

Ensuring SLA compliancy

Database adaptation:

Updating for changes in the transmission database files.

Database development and automation.

Special projects & assignments:

Planning, controlling and coaching for assigned projects in order to meet deadlines.

Reporting full details on project progression.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS_ESSENTIAL

Bachelor's degree in Telecom Engineering

QUALIFICATIONS_DESIRABLE

Introduction in GSM & 3G main features

Very good Microsoft office skills, advanced excel is required.

Excellent in Arabic & Very good English (Reading, Writing & Oral).

Fundamental Knowledge in fixed and wireless transmission networks

Fundamental Knowledge in IP Networks

The entire operations and maintenance of the Fiber ring.

Preventive maintenance of the fiber ring.

E2E optimization of the Fiber ring in addition to the Acceptance.

The configurations activities on the Fiber nodes.

Evaluate managed services teams and third party the vendor performance.

EXPERIENCE_ESSENTIAL

1-2 years of experience with proficiency in the field of wireless and fixed transmission equipment.

EXPERIENCE_DESIRABLE

CERTIFICATIONS_ESSENTIAL

PDH / SDH networks fundamentals

Microwave transmission fundamentals

ADM and optical network fundamentals

Data communications and IP networks fundamentals

GSM/CDMA Fundamentals & Concepts.

BSS Technical support training.

Desirable:

CCNA
