The Mechanical Engineer - Testing & Commissioning will be responsible for planning, supervising, and executing the testing and commissioning of mechanical systems for both ancillary buildings and core structures in MEP contracting projects. The role ensures that all mechanical installations are tested, commissioned, and handed over in compliance with project specifications, standards, and client requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Review project specifications, drawings, and method statements related to testing and commissioning.
Prepare and implement T&C plans, procedures, and schedules for HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and other mechanical systems.
Coordinate with consultants, clients, and subcontractors to plan and execute testing & commissioning activities.
Monitor installation works to ensure readiness for testing and commissioning.
Perform functional, integrated, and performance testing for mechanical systems in both ancillary buildings and core facilities.
Prepare pre-commissioning checklists and ensure compliance with approved standards.
Troubleshoot issues during testing and propose corrective actions.
Ensure safety procedures and quality standards are followed during T&C activities.
Prepare detailed T&C reports, test certificates, and final handover documentation.
* Support project close-out by ensuring all mechanical systems achieve required performance benchmarks.
