? Engineer / Senior Engineer (T&C/Design/Electrical/MEP/Civil/Planning)
Job Summary:
This is a specialized engineering role with streams in Testing & Commissioning, Design, Electrical, MEP, Civil, or Planning. The engineer is responsible for applying engineering principles to manage the technical aspects of their discipline, ensuring designs are robust, construction is correct, and project objectives are met.
Key Responsibilities (by Specialization):

• Testing & Commissioning (T&C) Engineer:
• Develop and implement detailed T&C procedures for substation equipment (Protection Relays, Circuit Breakers, Transformers, SCADA, etc.).
• Lead and execute all field testing, including primary injection, secondary injection, megger, timing, and functional tests.
• Troubleshoot and rectify complex technical issues during the commissioning phase.
• Coordinate with authorities for witness testing and ensure compliance with all technical requirements for energization.
• Design Engineer (Electrical/Civil):
• Perform detailed engineering design and calculations for substation and power systems (load flow, short circuit, earthing, lighting, cable sizing, structural foundations).
• Prepare and review single-line diagrams, layout drawings, protection schematics, and other technical documents.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and suppliers to finalize design specifications.
• Use engineering software like ETAP, CDEGS, or AutoCAD.
• MEP Engineer:
• Design and manage the installation of substation auxiliary systems, including HVAC, fire alarm and suppression, plumbing, and lighting.
• Ensure MEP systems are integrated with primary electrical systems and comply with all safety and building codes.
• Civil Engineer:
• Oversee all civil works for substations, including earthworks, foundations, structural steelwork, cable trenches, and control building construction.
• Review civil design drawings, manage subcontractors, and ensure quality of construction materials and workmanship.
• Planning Engineer:
• Develop, update, and monitor the project master schedule using Primavera P6.
• Analyze project progress, identify critical path delays, and propose mitigation measures.
• Prepare progress reports, dashboards, and resource histograms for management.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in the relevant engineering discipline (Electrical, Civil, Mechanical).
• Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the power transmission, substation, or major construction industry.
• Chartered Engineer status or progression towards it is advantageous.
• Specific software proficiency as required by the specialization (e.g., ETAP, AutoCAD, Primavera P6, Revit).
