Job Title : 3D Printing Engineer/Mechanical Engineer Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and innovative 3D Printing Engineer to join our team at ARC 3D PRINTING SOLUTIONS. As a 3D Printing Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and operating our suite of 3D printers, optimizing printing processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality printed products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, experience with various 3D printing technologies, and a passion for pushing the boundaries of additive manufacturing. Responsibilities: 1. Operation and Maintenance: Manage and maintain a range of 3D printers, ensuring they are calibrated, cleaned, and functioning optimally. 2. Printing Process Optimization: Develop and refine printing parameters to achieve the desired quality, accuracy, and speed of printed parts. 3. Material Selection and Testing: Evaluate and qualify new printing materials for performance and compatibility with our printing systems. 4. Prototype Development: Collaborate with design and engineering teams to produce prototypes and functional parts using 3D printing technology. 5. Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure that printed parts meet design specifications and standards. 6. Research and Development: Stay updated on the latest advancements in 3D printing technology and contribute to ongoing research and development efforts. 7. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with printing equipment, software, and materials to minimize downtime and maintain productivity. 8. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of printing parameters, material usage, and equipment maintenance activities. Generate reports on printing performance and suggest improvements. 9. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory requirements related to the operation of 3D printing equipment and handling of materials. 10. Training and Support: Provide training and support to other team members on 3D printing processes, equipment operation, and best practices. Qualifications: 1. Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred. 2. Proven experience working with various 3D printing technologies such as FDM, SLA, SLS and Robotic Arms. 3. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for designing and preparing 3D models for printing. 4. Strong understanding of materials properties and experience with material selection for additive manufacturing applications. 5. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently. 6. Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams. 7. Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. 8. Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices for working with 3D printing equipment and materials. Preferred Qualifications: 1. Experience with post-processing techniques such as sanding, painting, and surface finishing of 3D printed parts. ( must have ) 2. Familiarity with software tools for slicing and preparing 3D models for printing (e.g., Magics, Cura, Simplify3D). 3. Experience with automation and robotics for 3D printing applications.
