Job Description

  • Drafting and Designing:
primary role involves creating detailed 2D manufacturing drawings. These drawings include dimensions, procedures, and materials to be used, which guide the manufacturing process.
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing Processes:
The engineer should have a background knowledge of various manufacturing processes like CNC machining, casting, and others to ensure that the drawings are not only technically accurate but also practical for manufacturing.
  • Collaboration with Other Departments:
Candidates work closely with design engineers, manufacturing engineers, to translate 3D designs into detailed 2D drawings that are feasible for manufacturing.
  • Standard Compliance:
Candidates must ensure that all the drawings comply with industry and company standards, as well as legal regulations.
  • Revision and Modification:
The drafting engineer must revise and modify the drawings as per feedback from manufacturing or design teams or due to changes in project scope or design.
  • Document Management:
The candidate will be responsible for maintaining all the drawing documentation, keeping records of all versions and modifications for future reference.
  • Technical Support:
Providing technical support to the manufacturing and assembly teams during the production process is also a key responsibility.
  • Use of CAD Software:
Candidates must be skilled in using SolidWorks software to create and modify 2D drawings.
  • Years of Experience in the same requirements: Minimum 2 years
  • Education: Mechanical Diploma
  • This role requires a strong attention to detail, a good understanding of manufacturing processes, and proficiency in relevant CAD software.
