1:1 Learning Support Assistant

About the role:

To actively promote a positive approach to learning and wellbeing in assisting and leading classroom activities and routines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspire a love of learning in all children
• Support a range of students within the school in improving their social skills, gross and fine motor skills and subject knowledge
• Lead sessions with groups of students, carefully differentiating and assessing progress
• Supervise students in class, between classes, during lunch and break times
• Assist teachers in preparing for lessons
• Effectively respond to the needs of the children by providing appropriate intervention to enable them to overcome any barriers to learning
• Ensure the classroom environment meets policy and standards for safety, cleanliness and general high standards

About the person:

• Excellent communication skills
• 2 years of experience working with primary aged children
• Passionate about student progress
