About the Role:

Qatar Airways are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to join our Technical Engineering team as a Workshops Supervisor with is responsible to plan, control, and supervise relevant workshops related activity including release certificate to the meet quality and legislative requirements as set by Qatar Airways Quality Assurance Department and respective regulatory authorities to meet operational requirements

Operations:

Organizing and controlling workflow through the shop ensuring no production delay/work stoppages to meet operational requirements. Ensuring respective workshop aircraft and component maintenance is accomplished to the required legislative and airworthiness standards to keep aircraft and component airworthy. Ensure that Workshop staff utilization and productivity is achieved in an efficient and safe manner to achieve daily, monthly and annual production targets. Responsible for the recording and issue of Certificates of Release to Service for the work accomplished is in accordance with the current TPM and legislation. Ensuring workshop documentation is adequate, and its certification is completed in a timely manner and to the defined procedures to meet company requirements. Ensuring equipment, facilities, and premises in his charge are maintained to an acceptable standard of maintenance, safety and appearance, and in compliance with Company Health and Safety policy. Reviewing the workload, resources allocated and required to ensure expedient rectification of tasks/components utilizing allocated staff, and ensuring staff under his immediate control adhere to published technical and safety requirements defined in published manuals and other publications. Optimizing overtime requirement to meet operational requirement. Responsible for ensuring tools & equipment under use by workshop staff are being managed and maintained by respective section in timely manner to maintain workshop productivity and performance. Ensure that all tools and equipment which are in use of workshop personnel are properly calibrated and serviceable and any unserviceable tool and equipment are being labelled and dispatched to respective section. Responsible to optimize man power utilization and all available resources to maintain proper production flow path to meet on time release. Defining work priorities to the staff allocated to him to ensure that efficient use of resources is employed to meet tasks completion/component release deadlines. Ensuring staff under his immediate control adhere to published maintenance data (CMM, SRM etc.) and Health and Safety requirements to achieve quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

About you:

High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification /Diploma or Equivalent (Type of Diploma Based on Role) with Minimum 7 years of job-related experience OR Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 6 years of job-related experience.

Essential

02 years as EN.02 + 02 Component type training or gen. fam. or Structure type training. Must be assessed for leadership skills. Knowledge of aircraft maintenance fundamentals and procedures. Knowledge of air legislation. Knowledge of equipment maintenance, operation and proper handling. Able to communicate effectively with inside or outside customers and other departments
