Job Title: Workshop Technician - Wheels/Brake
Salary: Negotiable dependent upon experience (tax free)

We currently have a vacancy to join a leading provider of comprehensive aviation services based in the Middle East, as a Workshop Technician - Wheels/Brake. The role will be based in Abu Dhabi and offers a full relocation package for the successful candidate.
The company specialises in delivering customised aviation maintenance, repair, overhaul, logistics and supply chain services to military and civil aviation customers across the region. Whilst their head office is based in Abu Dhabi, they have a number of operational facilities across various UAE military bases and aviation sites. The company plays a key role in supporting the UAE Armed Forces and other regional air forces. They support a wide range of both fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft including military helicopters such as Black Hawks, Chinooks and Apaches as well as transport aircraft such as C130 Hercules. Their services include line and base maintenance, avionics, airframe and engine repair and comprehensive logistical support.
The Workshop Technician - Wheels/Brake performs scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance tasks, intermediate maintenance inspections, services, and repairs on all assigned aircraft brakes & wheel systems, subsystems and components. Carries out directives from the Supervisor.
Main Responsibilities:

  • Removes, repairs, replaces, adjusts, services, repairs and pressure tests aircraft brakes & wheel systems, subsystems, assemblies, and components according to technical manuals, directives, and safety procedures.
  • Diagnoses and troubleshoots malfunctions to aircraft brakes & wheel systems and subsystems or components, including accumulators and actuators, according to applicable manuals and directive.
  • Cleans, preserves, and stores aircraft brakes & wheel components.
  • Uses and performs user maintenance on common and special tools. Disassembles and inspects systems, subsystems, and components for wear, warping, or other defects.
  • Tests installed parts and accessories for leakage and functionality using test equipment.
  • Reads and interprets manufacturers' maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
  • Maintains facilities for storage of flammable and hazardous materials.
  • Requisitions aircraft brakes & wheel parts and maintains shop and bench stock for repair of aircraft brakes & wheel systems and subsystems.
  • Inspects and prepares forms and records related to maintenance in accordance with repair manuals and applicable regulations.
  • Trains host national personnel on the proper maintenance of aircraft brakes & wheel systems and subsystems.
  • Responsible for tools and equipment inventory assigned by the supervisor.
