Job Summary.

Responsible for smooth and safe running of a workshop where process and flow related equipment\xe2\x80\x99s are assembled and tested.The role will be measure based on smooth and safe running of the workshop and best manpower utilization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise and assign day to day tasks to workers & Sub-contractors appointed by NOV and make sure they are fully aware of their obligations & responsibilities to meets target and follow all NOV safety protocols.
• Schedules and approves timecards, vacation and overtime of workers which involves 3 rd party works and sub-contractors also.
• Responsible for all workshop activities which involve (but not limited to) assembly and testing of skid based vessel & pump packages, ALS system involving corelift and HPU and other PFT products
• Must ensure that company policies and procedures are being enforced and adhered to at all times.
• Ensure that all Project / Company HSE goals are achieved and where possible exceeded.
• Responsible for the Health and Safety of all personnel working in workshop. Ensure that all workshop personnel are aware of safe working practices & procedures and are provided with a safe working environment.
• Ensure that all work within workshop area of responsibility is carried out with good safety practices and full adherence to any work permit system that is in operation, JHA and RA is reviewed and communicated to all workforce, ensure daily TBT, safety training and HSE communications are being communicated clearly to the workforce and recorded as per procedure in cooperation with safety officer.
• Provide / Arrange required technical & safety trainings to the workers as directed by Fabrication Manager.
• Responsible for quality of the product being build in workshop and make sure all proper processes are followed as per engineering recommendation and vendor IOM for each equipment.
• conduct inspection visits to sub-contractors / fabricators / Vendor to review progress, quality, resolve problems if any. Local Travel may be needed by own car.
• Verify that the drawings and specifications provide adequate instructions for the work and advise the engineering and / or Projects of any deficiencies or clarifications needed. Identify any problem areas in the project, conduct necessary meeting / discussion and collaboratively find the solution.
• Constant communication with Project and Procurement team to keep the track of project material and plan assembly and testing activities accordingly.
• Ensure, before any work commences, that all required material, equipment, tools, workspace etc. are available to avoid abortive and unproductive use of Manpower.
• Maintain primary contact and a good working relationship with sub \xe2\x80\x93 contractors for Fabrication and all other external agencies working in NOV PFT Facility.
• Ensure that all work is to the required standard and that all drawings, specifications, inspections, and certifications required are strictly adhered to.
• Ensure that all Company systems of Quality checks and Factory Acceptance Tests are performed and recorded as per project requirements.
• Ensure all measuring devises are calibrated, all lifting tools and equipments are certified by authorized 3 rd party.

BEHAVIORAL SKILLS/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

• Experience working with pumps, skid based packages assembly and testing, Trouble shooting
• Basic knowledge of Electrical panels, starter, VFD / PLC and electrical instruments.
• Must be able to read and follow engineering drawings, PIDs, vendor material datasheets and IOMs and implement on JOB as required
• Should be able to conduct FAT (Factory acceptance test) by him self and generate report which may involve customer witnesses also
• Should be able to follow Quality procedures and able to conduct quality inspection of the skid packages.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION/ EXPERINCE REQUIRED:

Essential

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 7 years of Experience
• Experience in Oil and Gas industry with rotating equipment skid-based packages assembly and testing experience.
• Candidate must be familiar with HSE requirements involved in job.
• Basic Microsoft Office knowledge
• UAE Driving license.

Desirable

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 7 years of Experience in similar role
• Experience in pump packages assembly and testing
• Experience in the Middle East
• Knowledge of local Compliance requirements, and laws
