Workshop Supervisor

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Workshop Foreman to supervise and manage the daily operations of our vehicle maintenance workshop. The role involves overseeing mechanics, ensuring timely repair and servicing of trucks, maintaining safety standards, and keeping the fleet in excellent working condition to support smooth transport operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate workshop staff (mechanics, electricians, helpers) Plan and assign daily repair and maintenance tasks Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed for all trucks Diagnose technical issues and support the team with complex repairs Monitor vehicle breakdowns and ensure quick turnaround time Maintain workshop discipline, safety, and cleanliness Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards Keep records of repairs, spare parts usage, and service history Coordinate with procurement for spare parts and tools Report fleet condition and major issues to management
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Workshop Foreman or Senior Mechanic in a trucking/transport company Strong knowledge of heavy vehicles (trucks, trailers, diesel engines) Leadership and team management skills Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults Basic computer skills for reporting (preferred) Responsible, organized, and safety-conscious
