Job Purpose

To lead and supervise the carpentry workshop operations, ensuring high-quality production of furniture and joinery works, meeting project deadlines, and maintaining safety standards as per UAE regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise carpentry workshop operations including manpower allocation, production scheduling, and quality control. Review and interpret technical drawings/blueprints for furniture, joinery, and fit-out works. Monitor workflow to ensure timely delivery of projects in line with client requirements. Ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality safety guidelines and company HSE policies. Maintain inventory of wood, hardware, and consumables; coordinate with procurement for replenishment. Inspect finished products for accuracy, finishing, and quality. Lead, train, and motivate a team of carpenters, helpers, and machine operators. Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, and design teams for smooth execution. Prepare daily progress and production reports for management. Oversee maintenance and safe operation of woodworking machinery.

Requirements

Minimum 10 years' experience in carpentry and joinery, preferably in the UAE or GCC. At least 5 years of proven supervisory experience in a carpentry/joinery workshop. Strong knowledge of woodworking machines, tools, and modern production techniques. Ability to read and understand shop drawings and technical specifications.

Proficiency in computer applications (MS Office, email, basic workshop management software) is mandatory.

Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Knowledge of UAE safety standards and workshop management practices.

Preferred Qualifications

Diploma/Certificate in Carpentry, Joinery, or related technical field. Experience in interior fit-out, furniture manufacturing, or bespoke joinery projects. Familiarity with CNC and automated woodworking machinery is an advantage.
