The role involves supervising technicians, managing workflow, ensuring timely completion of jobs, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety. The ideal candidate should have hands-on automotive knowledge, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage customer satisfaction through efficient workshop management.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise daily workshop operations, including vehicle repairs, maintenance, and service activities.
Assign jobs to technicians based on skills and workload.
Monitor progress of repair and maintenance work to ensure timely delivery.
Inspect completed work to confirm quality and compliance with standards.
Manage workshop resources, tools, and equipment.
Ensure adherence to safety guidelines and workshop procedures.
Coordinate with service advisors and management regarding customer requirements and priorities.
Train, guide, and motivate technicians for better productivity and quality output.
Maintain accurate job cards, reports, and service records.
Handle escalated customer concerns related to workshop operations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Diploma/Degree in Automotive/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
5+ years of experience
in an automobile workshop, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Strong technical knowledge of vehicle systems, repair methods, and diagnostics.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Strong organizational and communication abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
