This is a full-time on-site role for an experienced and results- driven

Workshop Supervisor

at GET Fabrication located in Umm Al Quwain, United Arab Emirates.

Job Purpose:

The

Workshop Supervisor

will be responsible to lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the fabrication workshop, ensuring that all production jobs are completed and delivered on time , to specification, safely, efficiently, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Workshop Management

Supervise, assign, and monitor the daily tasks of welders, fabricators, painters, and helpers. Ensure all jobs are executed per drawings, specifications, and quality standards. Allocate manpower based on project priorities and resource availability.

2. Production Oversight

Ensure production targets are met and bottlenecks are addressed early. Coordinate with the Operations Coordinator regarding job planning, delivery schedules, and material availability. Maintain accurate daily work reports, time sheets, and progress updates.

3. Technical Supervision

Read and interpret fabrication drawings (2D/3D). Guide the team in the correct fabrication, welding, fitting, and finishing techniques. Conduct in-process checks to prevent rework and ensure dimensional accuracy.

4. Health, Safety & Housekeeping

Enforce workshop safety standards (PPE use, fire safety, tool handling). Ensure clean, organized, and hazard-free working environment. Report safety incidents and near-misses promptly.

5. Quality Control

Ensure workmanship meets company standards before handing over jobs. Ensure QC or Operations for final inspection, touch-up, or repairs as required. Ensure painting and surface finishing meet protection and aesthetic expectations.

6. Team Leadership

Train and mentor junior staff or helpers. Maintain discipline, resolve minor conflicts, and motivate team performance. Participate in hiring and technical evaluations of new workers.

Qualifications and Skills

Education:

Technical Diploma or Trade Certification in Fabrication or Mechanical.

Experience:

Minimum of

5 years of experience

in steel fabrication industry.

Technical Skills:

Strong knowledge of welding, cutting, forming, and reading fabrication drawings, team coordination, Experience with quality control process and procedures. Good knowledge with MS Excel, Job tracking sheets and inventory management.

Working Conditions

This position will require working in both an office and a factory floor environment. May be required to work extended hours as needed to meet production deadlines.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per month

Experience:

Metal Fabrication and Supervisor: 3 years (Required) Computer and Microsoft : 1 year (Required)
