Job Summary

Al Sharqi Shipping is a leading logistics and freight forwarding company with over three decades of experience in the UAE. We are seeking an experienced and highly-motivated Truck Workshop Manager to oversee all aspects of our truck maintenance and repair operations. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with a strong technical background in heavy-duty diesel mechanics and proven experience in managing a team and workshop facility. This role is critical to ensuring our fleet operates safely, efficiently, and reliably to meet our customers' ground transportation needs.

Key Responsibilities

Workshop Operations: Supervise and manage all daily workshop activities, including scheduling maintenance, prioritizing repairs, and managing workflow to maximize fleet uptime and operational efficiency.

Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and train a team of mechanics and technicians, ensuring high standards of workmanship, productivity, and safety. Conduct performance reviews and foster a positive, collaborative work environment.

Maintenance & Repair: Plan and implement comprehensive preventative maintenance programs for the entire truck fleet. Oversee diagnostic procedures and complex repairs, providing technical guidance and support to the team.

Inventory & Budget Management: Manage the workshop's budget, control costs, and oversee the procurement, inventory, and management of spare parts, tools, and equipment.

Quality & Safety: Implement and enforce rigorous quality control standards for all maintenance and repair work. Ensure full compliance with all local and international safety, environmental, and regulatory standards (e.g., OSHA, DOT).

Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance activities, service history, and parts usage. Generate regular reports on workshop performance, costs, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for senior management.

External Coordination: Coordinate with external vendors, suppliers, and third-party service providers to ensure timely and cost-effective repairs and parts acquisition.

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
