The Workshop Manager will oversee all workshop operations in marine services, ensuring smooth maintenance, repair, and servicing of vessels and marine equipment. The role involves managing a team, maintaining quality and safety standards, and ensuring work is completed on time.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, schedule, and supervise all workshop activities.
Assign work to technicians and monitor progress.
Ensure high-quality repairs and maintenance of marine engines, vessels, and equipment.
Lead, train, and manage the workshop team effectively.
Enforce safety rules and ensure compliance with maritime regulations.
Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory of spare parts.
Control costs, minimize waste, and ensure efficient use of resources.
Communicate with clients regarding work progress and technical advice.
Keep accurate records of jobs, maintenance, and repairs.
Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Marine or Mechanical Engineering.
At least 5 years' experience as a Workshop Manager in marine services.
Strong knowledge of marine engines, hydraulics, and auxiliary systems.
Good leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of workshop management systems.
