This role ensures the completion of work within the allocated timeframe and available resources, while maintaining clear communication of job requirements to the workforce, aligned with work specifications, tenders, procedures, and relevant technical documentation. Coordination with project foremen is essential to ensure efficient task execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Policies, Processes & Procedures
Adhere to departmental policies, procedures, standard operating practices, and work instructions to maintain operational consistency.
Comply with information and data security protocols to safeguard company information and intellectual property.
Operational Duties:
Manage day-to-day operations relevant to assigned projects.
Coordinate onboard and workshop activities daily to ensure workflow continuity.
Maintain and update project records in spool tracker systems and local drives as per defined procedures.
Prepare job identifications and drawings, ensuring records are updated in the department database.
Raise material requisitions and conduct timely follow-ups.
Estimate man-hours based on agreed tariffs and submit estimates for project supervision review.
Submit finalized job descriptions to the invoicing team for man-hour reporting.
Archive documentation of completed projects in accordance with departmental guidelines.
Safety, Quality & Environment:
Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and environmental standards and procedures to maintain a secure and environmentally responsible workplace.
Additional Duties:
Undertake additional responsibilities and assignments as directed by management.

Accurately recording all jobs in the database for future reference.
Timely and accurate job reporting and consistent follow-ups.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
Experience:
Minimum of 5-6 years in a similar role within the shipyard or marine industry.
Proficient in AutoCAD (2D/3D).
Competent in Microsoft Office applications.
Must have prior experience in ship repair or conversion projects.
Preferred Candidates:
Holding a visit or cancelled UAE Visa.
Locally available for face to face interview.
Can join immediately once selected.
