Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior WordPress Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will excel in modern WordPress development, bring solid experience working within cloud-based environments, and be adept at solving complex technical challenges. This role requires advanced technical expertise, strong collaboration with cross-functional teams, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress applications, plugins, and themes following modern development standards. Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure quality, scalability, and adherence to best practices. Manage and support application deployments using Docker and CI/CD pipelines in coordination with the DevOps team. Perform advanced debugging and troubleshooting across WordPress codebases and Azure cloud resources (e.g., App Service, VMs, API Management). Integrate and work with REST APIs, Composer, and contemporary PHP development workflows. Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to other developers within the WordPress team. Ensure optimal performance, security, and scalability across all WordPress applications.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of hands-on experience with WordPress, including custom themes, plugins, and application development. Strong expertise in PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, and REST API integration. Experience using Docker and working in environments supported by CI/CD pipelines. Proficiency with Composer and modern PHP development practices. Familiarity with Microsoft Azure cloud services and related troubleshooting. Demonstrated ability to debug complex issues across both application code and cloud infrastructure. Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and ability to work within multidisciplinary teams. Deep understanding of performance optimization, security best practices, and scalability for WordPress environments. Fluency in English preferred; Arabic is a strong advantage.
