About the job WordPress Developer

Are you a creative and technically skilled developer with a passion for building high-performance websites?

City University Ajman is seeking a motivated and talented

WordPress Developer to join our team and lead the development of responsive, multilingual web platforms.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain fast, responsive WordPress websites tailored for a multilingual audience.*
Optimize website performance using caching, CDNs, lazy loading, and asset minification techniques.*
Implement modern, mobile-first UI/UX design practices to ensure seamless user experiences across devices.*
Create visually appealing landing pages and interface components that follow CU brand guidelines.*
Use tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch to design and plan frontend structures.*
Optimize Core Web Vitals and improve PageSpeed scores for superior performance.*
Maintain best practices in SEO and ensure websites are accessibility compliant.*
Manage staging environments and deployment workflows.*
Handle technical configurations including DNS, SSL, hosting, backups, and website security.*

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.*
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in WordPress development.*
Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.*
Experience with page builders like Elementor, WPBakery, or custom-built solutions.*
Advanced design skills using Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop, or similar tools.*
Experience managing multilingual websites using WPML or Polylang.*
Familiarity with performance analysis tools: GTmetrix, Lighthouse, Google PageSpeed.*
Strong understanding of on-page SEO and responsive/mobile-first design principles.*
Comfortable with cPanel, SSH access, and DNS/domain management.*
Experience integrating third-party tools like Google Analytics and Tag Manager.*
