Job Description

Job Summary:

The Wood Finishing Carpenter is responsible for performing high-quality finishing and installation works on wooden components such as doors, frames, skirting, cabinets, furniture, and decorative items. The role requires excellent craftsmanship, attention to detail, and knowledge of various finishing materials and techniques to achieve the required aesthetic and quality standards in accordance with project specifications and Qatar Construction Standards (QCS).

Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform all types of

finishing carpentry works

including installation, repair, and polishing of wood and joinery components.

Fabricate & Install

Wooden doors, frames, wardrobes, kitchen cabinets, wall cladding, skirting, shelves, and decorative panels.

Fabricate & Install

Wooden Cupboards, Kitchen Cabinets, Office tables, Drawers and must having good experience in PVC lipping and edge bending process.

Prepare and finish surfaces

by sanding, staining, sealing, varnishing, or applying polyurethane and other coatings.

Carry out repair and touch-up works

on damaged or defective wood surfaces at the site.

Ensure accuracy and alignment

during fitting, fixing, and installation as per approved shop drawings.

Select appropriate tools, materials, and finishing products

as required for the job.

Maintain tools and equipment

in proper working condition and ensure a clean, organized work area.

Follow company HSE procedures

and use proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times.

Coordinate with site supervisors, painters, and polishers

to ensure smooth completion of finishing works.

Report daily progress, material shortages, and site issues

to the site foreman or engineer. Comply with all

Qatar Labor and Safety Regulations

and project quality standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

Experience:

Minimum

5-7 years of relevant experience

in carpentry and finishing works, preferably in Qatar or the GCC.

Skills & Competencies:

Knowledge of modern carpentry tools, machinery, and finishing materials. Ability to read and interpret drawings and finish schedules. Good understanding of finishing techniques (staining, varnishing, PU coating, etc.). Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship. Teamwork and communication skills. Awareness of safety standards and site discipline.
