Job Overview:

We are currently seeking a

Wet Utilities Engineer - Site (Mechanical)

with

8+ years of experience

in the engineering and site supervision of infrastructure projects. This role, based in

Ras Al Khaimah, UAE

, requires strong consultancy experience in wet utility systems, including

sewerage, stormwater, irrigation, firefighting

, and associated

pumping station works

.

The successful candidate will ensure that all mechanical systems on-site are delivered in full compliance with the project specifications, contract documents, and local authority regulations.

Key Responsibilities:Engineering Supervision

Supervise the execution of wet utilities works on-site. Oversee mechanical infrastructure systems such as: Sewerage and stormwater networks Irrigation systems and pump stations Firefighting systems Mechanical equipment in pumping stations

Technical Review & Compliance

Review and comment on shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and RFIs. Ensure compliance with project specifications and authority standards (e.g., FEWA, Civil Defense, RAK Municipality). Interpret contract documents and monitor works accordingly.

Site Inspection & Quality Assurance

Conduct routine inspections and quality control of installed systems. Witness and document pressure tests, commissioning procedures, and system start-ups. Identify non-conformances and ensure corrective actions are taken.

Coordination & Documentation

Maintain site reports, NCRs, snag lists, and progress documentation. Coordinate with civil, electrical, and structural disciplines. Attend technical and progress meetings with stakeholders.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).

Minimum 8 years of relevant experience

, including at least

3-5 years with a consultancy

in infrastructure projects. Strong understanding of wet utility networks and pumping station systems. Familiarity with UAE authority requirements and Ras Al Khaimah regulations. Proficient in interpreting drawings, specs, and contract documents. Strong communication and report-writing skills. Must be currently in the UAE or willing to relocate to Ras Al Khaimah.
