Qualifications:
Shall hold a university degree in Engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 15 years of experience (10 years for Welding Engineer) on oil & gas projects.
Registered Welding Engineer - (IWE)
Must be fully aware of Welding and NDT Codes and Standards, including personnel and procedure qualification.
Should possess coordination/communication skills and very good knowledge of spoken and written English language.
Responsibilities:
Develop and Qualify Welding Procedures covering the Scope of Work
Qualify Welders and Welding Operators
Review and Approve Vendor/Sub-Contractor Welding Procedures
Maintain Welding and Welders Repair Statistics
Maintain the validity of Welders and Welding Operators Qualification
Monitor Welding activities during various phases and locations including Welding Consumable Controls
Perform RCA of Weld Failures
Ensure the Project KPIs for Welding are fulfilled
Resolve NCR's related to Welding
Monitor the implementation and effectiveness of the project quality system
