We are seeking a skilled and dedicated

Welder

to join our maintenance team at Institutional Laundry Services LLC. In this role, you will be responsible for welding, repairing, and maintaining metal components in the machinery and infrastructure of our laundry facility. Your work will ensure that all laundry equipment operates efficiently and safely, including washers, dryers, steam presses, and conveyor systems. You will also be tasked with fabricating custom parts, performing routine inspections, and working closely with the maintenance team to resolve mechanical issues.

Your responsibilities will include welding metal parts, troubleshooting machine breakdowns, installing new equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical welding skills, a solid understanding of industrial equipment, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

Perform welding repairs and maintenance on laundry machinery, including washers, dryers, and steam presses. Fabricate custom metal parts as needed for specific equipment or machine modifications. Install, assemble, and weld new equipment and metal components. Inspect and test welded parts for strength, integrity, and proper function. Collaborate with the maintenance team to diagnose and resolve equipment issues. Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations. Maintain and repair infrastructure elements such as steel frames, loading dock equipment, and safety barriers. Keep detailed records of welding repairs and materials used. Regularly conduct preventive maintenance to minimize breakdowns and ensure the longevity of equipment.

Qualifications

Education

: High school diploma or equivalent. Certification in welding (e.g., AWS Certified Welder) preferred.

Experience

: 2+ years of experience in welding, preferably in an industrial setting. Previous experience working with laundry or commercial machinery is a plus.

Skills

: Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding. Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and welding schematics. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Knowledge of industrial safety standards and the ability to follow proper safety protocols.

Physical Requirements

: Ability to lift heavy objects, work in confined spaces, and perform physically demanding tasks.

Preferred Attributes

:

Certification in welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick). Experience in industrial maintenance or machinery repair. Ability to operate additional tools such as grinders, cutting torches, or plasma cutters. Detail-oriented with a commitment to high-quality work and safety.
