Job Title: Welder Department: Maintenance / Fabrication / Production Location: DUBAI Reports To: Fabrication Supervisor / Workshop Foreman Job Summary: The Welder is responsible for joining, fabricating, and repairing metal parts and structures using various welding techniques. This role involves interpreting technical drawings, selecting appropriate tools and materials, and ensuring that all work meets safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols to determine job requirements. Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment such as MIG, TIG, ARC, and gas welding machines. Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal, overhead). Inspect and test welds to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards. Repair or fabricate metal structures, machinery parts, frames, and supports as required. Prepare materials by cleaning, cutting, grinding, or fitting metal components before welding. Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate protective equipment. Maintain tools, welding machines, and workshop equipment in good working condition. Collaborate with other team members to complete fabrication or maintenance projects on time. Document completed work and report material usage or any equipment malfunctions to the supervisor. Qualifications & Skills: Education: High school diploma or technical certificate in Welding or Fabrication. Experience: 2-5 years of welding experience in a workshop, construction, or industrial environment. Skills: o Proficient in MIG, TIG, and ARC welding methods. o Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings. o Knowledge of metal properties and fabrication techniques. o Strong attention to detail and precision. o Good physical stamina and manual dexterity.
