to join our maintenance and fabrication team at a leading cement factory in Ras Al Khaimah. The role involves carrying out welding, fabrication, and repair work on mechanical structures, machinery, and plant equipment to ensure smooth plant operations and minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform
arc welding, gas welding, MIG/TIG welding
, and cutting works as required for plant maintenance and fabrication.
Repair and fabricate
metal structures, ducts, chutes, hoppers, conveyors, and kiln components
used in cement plant operations.
Read and interpret
engineering drawings, blueprints, and fabrication sketches
.
Conduct routine inspection and maintenance of welding tools and equipment.
Work closely with the mechanical maintenance team to support preventive and breakdown maintenance activities.
Follow safety procedures and ensure compliance with
HSE (Health, Safety & Environment)
regulations.
Assist in installation or modification of new machinery and structures when required.
Maintain proper housekeeping in the work area and report any hazards or defects immediately.
Qualifications & Experience:
ITI / Diploma
in Welding, Fabrication, or related trade.
Minimum
3-5 years of welding experience
(preferably in cement, steel, or heavy industrial plants).
Strong knowledge of
ferrous and non-ferrous metals
, welding electrodes, and heat treatment methods.
Ability to perform precise measurements and quality checks on welded components.
Must be able to work in
high-temperature and dusty industrial environments
.
UAE or GCC experience in a similar industry is an added advantage.
Skills Required:
Proficiency in
MIG, TIG, and Arc welding techniques
.
Understanding of
metal fabrication, fitting, and alignment
.
Good teamwork and communication skills.
Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
