Perform welding and fabrication tasks on structural, piping, and mechanical components as per drawings, WPS, and safety standards to ensure strong, defect-free joints that meet project quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Interpret drawings, symbols, and welding procedures (WPS).
Carry out
MIG / TIG / SMAW / Arc welding
as required.
Fit, tack, and weld steel structures, supports, and frames.
Fabricate and repair pipes, tanks, skids, and platforms.
Conduct visual inspection of weld joints before and after welding.
Maintain tools, machines, and welding consumables in good condition.
Follow safety rules, PPE requirements, and housekeeping standards.
Coordinate with QC for welding inspection and repair if needed.
Work with fitters, fabricators, and supervisors to meet daily targets.
Qualifications & Experience
ITI / Diploma in Welding / Fabrication or equivalent.
3-5 years of experience in
structural or pipe welding
(UAE/GCC preferred).
Knowledge of
carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy materials
.
Familiar with
WPS/PQR, welding symbols, and standards (ASME / AWS)
.
Valid welding certification (6G, 3G, or 4G) preferred.
Skills & Competencies
Skilled in SMAW / GTAW / MIG welding.
Ability to read isometric and fabrication drawings.
Quality-focused and detail-oriented.
Physically fit for site work and confined spaces.
Strong HSE awareness and teamwork attitude.
