Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Welder to join our team and contribute to high-quality metal fabrication and repair work. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with welding techniques and be able to interpret technical drawings and blueprints to complete projects safely and accurately.

Key Responsibilities:



Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding specifications. Set up welding equipment and choose appropriate welding methods (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick). Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (flat, vertical, overhead). Inspect welded surfaces and structures to ensure quality and structural integrity. Perform repairs and maintenance on metal structures and equipment as required. Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition. Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate protective gear (PPE). Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other tradespeople to complete tasks efficiently.

Requirements:



Proven experience as a welder. Proficiency in various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick, Arc). Ability to read technical documents and blueprints. Knowledge of metals and their properties related to welding. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work. Physical stamina and the ability to work in various positions and environments. Understanding of safety standards and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:



Certification in welding (e.g., AWS, ASME). Experience with cutting, brazing, and soldering. Basic knowledge of fabrication tools and machinery.
