We are seeking a highly skilled Backend & DevOps Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for building and maintaining scalable backend services, RESTful APIs, and cloud infrastructure for our e-commerce applications. This role requires strong Node.js expertise along with hands-on DevOps experience to ensure secure, reliable, and high-performance deployments.

Key ResponsibilitiesBackend Development (Node.js)

Build and maintain RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express. Follow the Controller-Service-Repository pattern for clean and scalable code. Work with relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) for data modeling and query optimization. Write modular, maintainable, and secure backend code. Implement authentication flows (JWT, OAuth) and performance optimization.

DevOps & Cloud Infrastructure

Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions (or similar). Deploy and manage applications on AWS (EC2, ECS, ECR, S3, RDS, Fargate, Redis, CloudWatch, Route53). Containerize applications with Docker and manage deployments. Configure domains, DNS, and SSL certificates. Set up and manage Cloudflare for DNS, performance, and security (firewall rules, caching). Monitor and optimize systems on Linux/Ubuntu servers. Ensure high availability, security, and scalability across environments. Automate infrastructure and deployment tasks where possible.

Requirements

Strong experience in Node.js, Express, and backend architecture. Proficiency in MySQL/PostgreSQL and Sequelize ORM. Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines. Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services. Proficiency with Docker and containerized workflows. Familiarity with Linux/Ubuntu administration, networking, and server security. Experience with Git/GitHub for source control and collaboration. Ability to work independently and write clean, maintainable code.

Nice to Have

Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible). Knowledge of microservices and distributed systems. Familiarity with Elasticsearch, Redis, or other caching/indexing systems. Experience with cost optimization on AWS. Previous work on e-commerce projects.
