Job Description

IT requirements: 1) Coding skills needed for tweaking and maintaining our Web sites (security functions -- SSL, backup, optimum speed, archiving of articles) 2) Advising on opportunities to monetise our Web sites and Social Media handles 3) HTML conversion of e-shots (monthly synopsis, fortnightly newsletters, etc.) 4) Trouble-shooting with Goldmine and Microsoft Outlook service providers 5) Acquiring Web sites for new projects 6) Analysing traffic on our Web sites and advising on how to improve our metrics Online and Social Media requirements: 1) Uploading stories, sponsored posts and advertisements on the main Web site (print, TV and podcasts) 2) Ensuring all event-related Web sites are up to date with information, including logos - coordinating with the Events Manager on this 3) Advising on, and carrying out measures for, optimising the Web sites towards enhancing the experience of visitors in terms of clarity of communication, functionality, navigability, attractiveness (visual and audio appeal of the Web sites) 4) Posting on Social Media (this could be editorial-related, sponsored posts and events-related). The work also includes posting videos and also ensuring hashtags, etc. 5) Producing the fortnightly newsletter: Curating the uploaded stories and formatting, as per established template; coordinating with the designer to ensure it is out on time.
