We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring the property, preventing theft or damage, and responding promptly to any incidents. Responsibilities

Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter unauthorised access and identify potential security risks Monitor surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to observe activity and detect suspicious behaviour Enforce loss prevention policies by observing and reporting any theft or vandalism Respond swiftly and appropriately to alarms, emergencies, or incidents, including administering basic first aid if necessary Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security breaches Control access points by checking identification and issuing visitor passes as required Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency services during critical situations Ensure all security protocols are adhered to and report any safety hazards or concerns

Qualifications

Prior experience in surveillance, loss prevention, or security roles is preferred Knowledge of CCTV operation and monitoring procedures is desirable Valid first aid certification is advantageous Strong observational skills with keen attention to detail Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively in emergency situations Excellent communication skills and professional demeanour Must be physically fit to patrol the premises and stand for extended periods A recognised security guard licence or certification may be required depending on local regulations
