We are seeking a vigilant and responsible Watchman to ensure the safety and security of our premises, property, and personnel. The ideal candidate will monitor the facility, control access points, and report any suspicious activities or security breaches.
Key Responsibilities:
Patrol and monitor premises regularly to maintain safety and prevent unauthorized access, vandalism, or theft.
Monitor surveillance systems and alarm systems.
Control entry and exit points; ensure only authorized individuals enter the property.
Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances.
Report suspicious activities, safety hazards, or security incidents to the appropriate authorities.
Keep daily logs of activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, or presence of unauthorized persons.
Provide assistance during emergencies, such as fire, medical issues, or evacuations.
Ensure all lights, doors, and gates are secured during non-operational hours.
Maintain cleanliness and order around the guard post and related areas.
Check and inspect vehicles entering or leaving the premises (if required).
Enforce rules and regulations as instructed by management.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience as a watchman or security guard is preferred.
Basic knowledge of security operations and safety practices.
Good observational and problem-solving skills.
Physically fit and able to stand or walk for long periods.
Honest, reliable, and able to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
Working Conditions:
May be required to work nights, weekends, or holidays.
May involve exposure to various weather conditions depending on patrol areas.
Work may involve long shifts and standing or walking for extended periods.
