Role Overview:

A watchman, also known as a security guard or security officer, is responsible for maintaining the security and safety of premises, assets, staff, and visitors. They typically work in various settings, including residential complexes, office buildings, retail stores, and industrial sites.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitoring and Patrolling:

Regularly patrol assigned areas to ensure security and detect signs of intrusion or unauthorized activity.

Access Control:

Control access to premises by monitoring entrances and exits, checking identification, and verifying authorization when necessary.

Emergency Response:

Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents such as fire, medical emergencies, or security breaches.

Report Writing:

Maintain detailed logs and records of security incidents, observations, and patrols.

Customer Service:

Provide assistance and guidance to visitors, employees, and residents, ensuring a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.

Equipment Maintenance:

Ensure proper functioning of security equipment such as CCTV cameras, alarms, and communication devices.

Cleaning Tasks:

Perform cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing surfaces.

Sanitization:

Ensure that all surfaces, fixtures, and equipment are sanitized effectively to maintain health and safety standards.

Waste Management:

Dispose of waste and recyclable materials in designated bins and follow proper waste disposal procedures.

Restocking Supplies:

Monitor and restock cleaning supplies and toiletries in bathrooms and other areas as needed.

Reporting Issues:

Report any maintenance or repair issues observed during cleaning duties to the appropriate personnel.

Adherence to Regulations:

Follow all health and safety regulations, including the safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.

Customer Interaction:

Maintain a professional and friendly manner when interacting with clients, residents, or guests.
