Wastewater Lift Stations Operator is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of sewage lift stations, pump stations, and related control systems. This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company.

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Responsibilities:

Major Job Activities:

Inspect, maintain, and repair pumps, motors, valves, and electrical control panels. Troubleshoot and repair SCADA systems, PLCs, and telemetry equipment. Perform preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on lift station equipment. Conduct daily inspections of lift stations to verify operational status Implement emergency procedures during equipment failures. Perform general maintenance on station buildings, grounds, and equipment. Safely operate and maintain electrical and mechanical systems. Maintain logs and submit reports on station performance and maintenance. Document system changes and maintains accurate records of maintenance and repairs. Ensure compliance with safety standards, codes, and regulations. Performs all other duties as assigned.



Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Completion of military or civilian training courses in electronic maintenance Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in waste water systems Completed wastewater approved training Requires a high school diploma or equivalent Valid driver license Must be able to pass a favorable national agency check (NAC)

Required Skills:

Operate and maintain various motors, pumps, check valves, generators, grinders, and all associated parts throughout the service area. Ensure proper function of motor control centers, programmable logic controllers, and variable frequency drives throughout the service area. Work emergency situations as required. Ability to read blueprints and electrical diagrams Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for diagnosing complex system issues. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills for coordinating with teams and documenting work.
