Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Worker Forklift Operator to join our food manufacturing operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently handling materials and operating heavy equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse procedures, safety standards, and equipment operation to ensure smooth and safe warehouse functions.

Responsibilities

Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, crane, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently Load and unload materials using appropriate equipment such as forklift, clamp truck, or order picker Pick, pack, and prepare orders accurately utilizing RF scanners and warehouse management systems Assist with shipping & receiving processes, ensuring proper documentation and inventory control Conduct materials handling tasks including heavy lifting and moving items throughout the warehouse Maintain a clean and organized work environment adhering to OSHA standards Support warehouse distribution activities including order picking and load & unload operations Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and safety compliance Perform routine inspections on equipment to ensure mechanical integrity and safety

Experience

Previous warehouse experience preferred, especially in distribution or logistics environments Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklift, crane, or clamp truck required Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners highly desirable Familiarity with OSHA safety standards related to warehouse operations and heavy equipment operation Mechanical knowledge related to equipment maintenance is a plus Experience in construction or materials handling roles is beneficial Prior experience with order picker machines or picker is advantageous Strong ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in fast-paced environments
