Duties and responsibilities
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Warehouse & Inventory Management:
Supervise day-to-day warehouse operations including receiving, storing, and dispatching of goods.
Ensure timely resolution of AOG (Aircraft on Ground) priorities with rapid response.
Monitor inventory expiry and implement actions to avoid losses and stock obsolescence.
Maintain warehouse cleanliness, scrap disposal processes, and facility upkeep.
Adhere to aviation standards in storage, handling, and quality control.
Oversee inventory accuracy, stock rotation, and order picking efficiency.
Operational Efficiency & Compliance:
Identify bottlenecks and improve warehouse workflows and storage systems.
Implement best practices to minimize stock discrepancies and losses.
Drive cost-saving initiatives and process improvements aligned with business objectives.
Coordinate with logistics and supply chain teams for timely inbound/outbound activities.
Workforce Management & Performance Monitoring:
Allocate workforce and resources effectively to meet operational demands.
Lead, train, and mentor warehouse staff to enhance service quality and productivity.
Track team performance and ensure timely and error-free execution of tasks.
Reporting & Data Management:
Prepare operational reports and dashboards using data analytics.
Leverage insights to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
Secondary Duties & Responsibilities:
Health, Safety, and Quality:
Enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies across warehouse operations.
Monitor compliance with regulatory and quality standards specific to aviation logistics.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Liaise with procurement, finance, and planning departments to align inventory and operational goals.
Collaborate with IT and system teams to ensure WMS (Warehouse Management System) optimization
Skills Required/Preferred
Experience:
5+ years in warehouse, inventory, or logistics management roles.
Good to Have Skills:
Familiarity with WMS and inventory tracking systems.
Understanding of lean warehousing and 5S methodology.
Exposure to ERP tools and digital warehouse solutions.
Prior experience in aviation MRO (Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul) logistics.
Must Have Skills:
Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
In-depth understanding of warehouse operations and inventory control.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with BI tools is a plus.
High attention to detail with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of industry safety, quality, and compliance standards.
Strong analytical skills and ability to make data-driven decisions.
Effective communication and stakeholder coordination.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's/Master's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or related field (preferred).
