1. Warehouse Operations Management
Oversee day-to-day activities across receiving, storage, preparation, loading, and dispatch of event furniture.
Ensure all warehouse areas are organised, clean, and compliant with safety standards.
Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all warehouse tasks.
Coordinate with carpentry, upholstery, and painting teams to ensure items are repaired/serviced on time.
2. Logistics & Scheduling
Help the Logistics Manager plan, schedule, and supervise all deliveries and collections for events across Dubai and the UAE.
Allocate staff to jobs based on skill set, workload, and required timings.
Ensure all trucks are packed safely, efficiently, and according to clients' floor plans and job sheets.
Monitor timings and ensure teams leave and arrive according to schedule.
Communicate with the Logistics Manager, Sales Team and clients regarding logistics updates.
Complete access permit forms and other forms as required.
3. Staff Supervision & Time Management
Supervise a team of warehouse, delivery, and support staff.
Create daily task lists and delegate responsibilities clearly.
Train staff on loading techniques, handling delicate furniture, and maintaining quality standards.
Monitor staff performance, punctuality, discipline, and adherence to company procedures.
Support HR with performance reviews and recommendations for disciplinary or corrective actions.
4. Quality Control
Inspect all event furniture before loading to ensure it meets PLP's quality standards (clean, damage-free, correctly upholstered, structurally sound).
Implement a documented quality control checklist for outgoing and incoming items.
Identify damaged or non-conforming items and coordinate with workshop/repair teams for quick turnaround.
Maintain high standards of appearance and functionality across all stock.
Occasionally go onsite to monitor processes.
5. Stock Control & Inventory Management
Maintain accurate stock records including availability, damages, repairs, and production updates.
Conduct regular stock audits and cycle counts.
Report low stock levels or frequently damaged items to management for replenishment or redesign.
Ensure stock is labeled, stored correctly, and easy for staff to locate.
6. Health & Safety Compliance
Ensure all warehouse operations follow UAE safety regulations and PLP internal safety policies.
Conduct regular safety briefings and ensure PPE is used correctly.
Identify hazards and implement preventative measures.
7. Process Improvement & Reporting
Develop improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and minimise damage.
Produce weekly reports covering:
Staff productivity
Truck loading efficiency
Stock levels and damages
Delivery/collection performance
Implement corrective actions when necessary.

Requirements
Minimum 3+ years experience in warehouse, logistics, or operations (events industry preferred).
Experience supervising a team.
Valid UAE driving licence.
Physically fit and capable of handling furniture when required.
Understanding of event industry logistics and furniture care is an advantage.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED9,000.00 - AED11,000.00 per month
