As a Warehouse Helper in an automobile parts warehouse, you\xe2\x80\x99ll play a crucial role in ensuring efficient operations by assisting with various tasks related to inventory management, order fulfillment, and warehouse maintenance. Your responsibilities will include receiving, storing, and organizing automotive parts, preparing orders for shipment, and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Receiving and Storing:
- Receive incoming shipments of automobile parts and verify their accuracy against packing lists and purchase orders.
- Unload deliveries using appropriate equipment and safely store items in designated locations within the warehouse.
- Order Fulfillment:
- Assist in picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment according to customer requirements and shipping guidelines.
- Ensure accuracy in order picking and packing to minimize errors and maintain customer satisfaction.
- Inventory Management:
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist in reconciling discrepancies between physical inventory and warehouse records.
- Monitor stock levels of automotive parts and communicate low stock or replenishment needs to supervisors.
- Warehouse Maintenance:
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of hazards to ensure a safe working environment.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and shelving units.
- Quality Control:
- Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage or defects and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Follow quality control procedures to maintain the integrity of automotive parts during storage and handling.
- Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with warehouse team members and other departments to meet operational goals and deadlines.
- Assist in training new warehouse staff and share knowledge to improve overall team performance.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with automotive parts or the automotive industry is a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks in a warehouse setting.
- Basic computer skills for inventory management and order processing.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling inventory.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Work hours may include evenings, weekends, and holidays based on warehouse operations.
- Exposure to warehouse environments with varying temperatures and noise levels.
