Warehouse Helper / Assistant (Manufacturing Sector) - Dubai

Job Summary

The Warehouse Helper/Assistant is responsible for supporting the efficient and safe flow of raw materials, manufactured products, and supplies within the warehouse and to the production floor. This is a hands-on role that requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and organization.

Key Responsibilities

1. Receiving and Inspection

Load/Unload:

Manually load and unload goods, raw materials, and finished products from delivery trucks or containers.

Receive Stock:

Inspect incoming shipments for damage, verify quantities against delivery notes/invoices, and report any discrepancies or damages immediately to the supervisor.

Process:

Accurately label and record incoming merchandise using internal systems (e.g., scanning barcodes or basic data entry).

2. Stock Management and Organization

Storage:

Transport and store materials in their designated locations, utilizing the warehouse space efficiently.

Stock Movement:

Move materials, tools, and finished goods to and from the production/manufacturing area as requested, ensuring the production line is continuously supplied.

Inventory Control:

Assist with regular physical inventory counts (stock-taking) and inventory checks to maintain accuracy.

Order Picking (Internal):

Retrieve raw materials or components from storage as per the Manufacturing Order or Bill of Materials (BOM).

3. Shipping and Dispatch

Preparation:

Pick, pack, wrap, and label outgoing finished products according to company standards and shipping orders.

Dispatch:

Move prepared orders to the dispatch area and assist in securely loading them onto delivery vehicles.

4. Safety and Cleanliness

Housekeeping:

Maintain a clean, neat, and organized warehouse environment, including sweeping, mopping, and ensuring clear aisles and work areas.

Safety Compliance:

Adhere strictly to all company health, safety, and quality standards, including wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Equipment:

Operate basic warehouse equipment (e.g., hand trucks, pallet jacks) safely. (Forklift license may be a plus).

Requirements and Skills

Physical Fitness:

Must be physically fit and able to lift and carry heavy packages (typically up to 25-50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.

Experience:

Proven working experience in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment is highly preferred (often 0-1 years minimum).

Teamwork:

Strong ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a diverse team.

Detail-Oriented:

High level of accuracy and attention to detail for counting stock and checking labels/documents.

Communication:

Basic verbal communication skills (often basic English is required).

Availability:

Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime, as required by manufacturing demands.

Pay: AED1,000.00 - AED1,200.00 per month
