The Painter is responsible for preparing surfaces, mixing paints, and applying paint, varnish, or other finishes to buildings, walls, ceilings, furniture, and other structures. This role requires attention to detail, steady hands, and the ability to deliver high-quality finishes that meet project standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare walls and surfaces for painting (e.g., cleaning, sanding, filling cracks, and applying primer).
Mix and match paint colors to meet project specifications.
Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
Protect surrounding areas with drop cloths, tape, or other materials.
Inspect painted surfaces to identify and correct imperfections.
Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate protective gear.
Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area.
Communicate with supervisors, contractors, or clients to ensure quality standards and timelines are met.
