The Wall Painter is responsible for preparing surfaces and applying paint, varnishes, and other finishes to interior and exterior walls, ceilings, and other surfaces as per project requirements. The role ensures a high-quality finish and long-lasting results through proper surface preparation and application techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, filling cracks, and repairing imperfections.
Mix and match paints, varnishes, and finishes in the right proportions to achieve the desired color and texture.
Apply paints and coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
Protect furniture, floors, and other surfaces with drop cloths or masking tape before painting.
Perform touch-ups and final coatings as needed for a clean, even finish.
Ensure proper care and maintenance of painting tools and equipment.
Follow safety protocols, especially when working at heights or with hazardous materials.
Work closely with supervisors and other trades to coordinate painting schedules.
Maintain cleanliness of the job site before and after work is completed.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Wall Painter in (minimum 2 years).
Knowledge of different painting techniques, finishes, and materials.
Ability to read and follow blueprints, sketches, and project specifications.
Physical ability to perform tasks that require standing, bending, climbing, and lifting.
Attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality work.
Basic knowledge of safety practices related to painting work.
