A Waitress is responsible for providing excellent customer service in a restaurant, cafe, hotel, or food service establishment. She ensures guests have a positive dining experience by taking orders, serving food and beverages, addressing customer needs, and maintaining cleanliness and efficiency at the service area.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner.
Present menus, explain daily specials, and answer customer queries about the menu.
Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen/bar.
Serve orders promptly and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the meal.
Clear tables, reset settings, and maintain cleanliness of the dining area.
Handle customer complaints politely and report major issues to the supervisor.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in food service or hospitality is an advantage.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Professional appearance and friendly demeanor.
Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
Basic math skills for billing and payment handling.
