Job Description

The Waitress/Cashier is responsible for providing excellent customer service by taking orders, serving food and beverages, handling payments, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. This position ensures smooth daily operations and customer satisfaction in the restaurant.

Duties & Responsibilities1. Customer Service

Greet customers politely and guide them to their tables. Present menus and provide detailed information about items when requested. Take customer orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen staff. Serve food and beverages promptly and in the correct order. Check back with customers to ensure satisfaction and address any issues.

2. Order Handling

Record orders in the POS (Point of Sale) system. Communicate special requests or dietary restrictions to the kitchen. Ensure accuracy of orders before serving.

3. Cashiering

Process customer bills through the POS system. Accept cash, card, or digital payments and issue receipts. Ensure correct change is given. Balance the cash drawer at the end of the shift.

4. Hygiene & Cleanliness

Keep the dining area, cashier counter, and serving stations clean. Follow hygiene and food safety standards at all times. Ensure tables are cleaned and reset for the next guests.

5. Teamwork

Work closely with other waiters, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth service. Assist with restocking condiments, cutlery, and other supplies. Help in opening and closing duties of the restaurant.

Required Skills & Qualities

Good communication and interpersonal skills. Basic math skills for handling cash and POS systems. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. Professional appearance and positive attitude. Previous experience as a waitress or cashier (preferred, but not mandatory).
