Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and service-driven Waiter/Waitress who is passionate about hospitality and sales. The ideal candidate will deliver an exceptional guest experience by confidently guiding guests through the menu, executing precise service sequences, and consistently driving upsell opportunities that maximize revenue and enhance customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Guest Service & Sequence of Service:

Warmly greet and escort guests to their tables in a timely, professional manner Present menus and explain specials, promotions, and chef recommendations Follow the correct sequence of service: Greet & seat Present menu & recommend Take orders Serve beverages Serve appetizers/starters Check back during the meal Offer desserts/beverages Present bill Thank guests and invite them back Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly and courteously Maintain a clean and well-set table throughout the dining experience Handle guest feedback professionally and escalate when necessary
Sales & Upselling:

Proactively upsell premium menu items, side dishes, desserts, and beverages Confidently describe ingredients, preparation methods, and pairing suggestions Inform guests about limited-time offers, promotions, and loyalty programs Identify repeat guests and tailor recommendations based on previous preferences Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to suggest dishes based on availability and freshness
Requirements:

Previous F&B experience in a full-service or upscale dining environment preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Proven ability to upsell and meet individual sales targets Attention to detail and understanding of service etiquette Familiarity with POS systems and order tracking Ability to multi-task and perform well under pressure Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality training is a plus
